Force 9 Energy is Shortlisted for 'Best Community Engagement' Award

Force 9 Energy is delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Green Energy Awards 2018, in the ‘Best Community Engagement’ category. This is in recognition of Force 9’s innovative ‘whole of Moray’ community ownership initiative for the Clash Gour wind farm.  In order to convey the opportunity to as wide an audience as possible Force 9 hosted a major community ownership workshop in Elgin in November 2017. The event, which was supported by Local Energy Scotland, was attended by representatives of 21 community groups from across Moray.  The workshop has stimulated significant community interest in community ownership opportunity in the project; more widely, it has already enhanced community capacity across the region to participate in ownership of renewable energy projects.
