Berry Burn Wind Farm Under Construction
Berry Burn wind farm is now under construction through our development partner Statkraft, in an investment worth £70million. The project will consist of 29, 2.3MW turbines with a maximum site capacity of 66.7MW, expected to generating 184GWh of electricity per annum. Scottish Energy Minister Fergus Ewing MSP welcomed the project: “The news that construction has started on the Berry Burn Wind Farm is excellent for Moray and for Scotland as a whole. During construction, up to 50 jobs will be created for local people and once the wind farm is operational a fund will be established to ensure the local community shares in the financial benefits it will bring.
