Force 9 Energy supports Energising Communities Conference in Elgin

Force 9 was delighted to be asked to speak at the community-led ‘Energising Communities’ conference in Elgin on 3rd May.

Organised through the Moray ‘LEADER’ programme, the sixty delegates heard from an interesting variety of speakers including from Heat Smart Orkney and Huntly & District Development Trust, as well as representatives of Local Energy Scotland, Community Energy Scotland and the Scottish Government backed Energy Investment Fund.   Nick Mackay and Andrew Smith then gave an overview of Clash Gour wind farm and the associated Community Ownership Opportunity. Delegates then split into workshop sessions in the afternoon to discuss the issues and challenges of embracing community ownership of renewable energy projects. Force 9 was also pleased to sponsor refreshments for the conference.
