Correen Hills Scoping Request Submitted

Force 9 Energy, together with its development partner EDF Renewables UK, has submitted a request for a Scoping Opinion to the Scottish Government for the proposed Correen Hills wind farm, located approximately 7km northwest of Alford, Aberdeenshire.

The request for a Scoping Opinion seeks consultee feedback on the development proposals and is an early stage in public engagement on the project, with two public exhibitions due to take place at the start of November: 

• Wednesday 1st November 2023 - The Rannes Hall, Kennethmont, AB54 4NP (3pm-8pm)

• Thursday 2nd November 2023 - Howe Trinity Church Hall, Alford AB33 8AD (3pm-8pm)

Correen Hills wind farm is being scoped at up to 14 turbines of up to 200m to blade tip height.  At that size the wind farm would have an operational capacity of around 100MW.  Further information on Correen Hills wind farm can be found at: https://correenhillswindfarm.co.uk/
