Dalmacallan Wind Farm 2nd Round Exhibitions

Force 9 is committed to open and transparent communication with the local community. The first public consultation was held in October 2025 and the second exhibition events will take place on the 29th and 30th of September in Moniaive, Balmaclellan and Dunscore. Force 9 Energy, in partnership with Vestas, will hold the second public consultation events for Dalmacallan Wind Farm on the 29th and 30th of September 2026 at the following locations:

Tuesday 29th September

• Glencairn Memorial Institute, 3 Chapel St, Moniaive, Thornhill DG3 4EJ, between 5.30pm and 9pm

Wednesday 30th September

• Balmaclellan Village Hall, DG7 3QE, between 1pm and 4pm

• Glenriddell Hall, Church Crescent, Dunscore, Dumfries DG2 0TA, between 5.30pm and 9pm

The exhibitions will provide details of Force 9 and Vestas’ revised proposals for the wind farm based on feedback from the community and consultees. The revised proposal is for a reduced scheme of 9 turbine up to 200m to Blade Tip with an installed capacity of up to 64.8MW. This has the potential of a community benefit fund amounting to more £11 million over the lifetime of the project (35 years). It also provides an opportunity for shared ownership in the project.
