On 17th November 2015 planning consent was granted, on appeal, for Craigton & Spittalhill wind farm which is located in the Fintry Hills, Stirlingshire.

The proposed wind farm will comprise 7 wind turbines each up to 3MW in generating capacity (and 125m to blade tip height).

Force 9 Energy engaged extensively with community representatives in Fintry, Carron Valley and Denny & District during the development period. Force 9 also held detailed consultations with Council officers and statutory and other stakeholders in order to design a wind farm which minimises the visual and environmental impacts to an acceptable level.

*Please note that this figure is based on 7 turbines with a rated capacity of 3MW operating at 26.35% capacity (long term average capacity factor for onshore wind from Digest of UK Energy Statistics 2019) and assuming 3,618 is the average UK household electricity consumption in kW hours (based on most recent statistics from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), Dec 2019)
