Creag a' Bhàird Wind Farm Submitted

Force 9 Energy has submitted a planning application to Perth & Kinross Council for its proposed Creag a' Bhàird Wind Farm (Application 13/02362/FLM). The Development is located to the north of Strathbraan, approximately 8km west of Dunkeld and 8.5km south-east of Aberfeldy. The Development comprises 13 wind turbines of up to 115m (to blade tip) height, with a maximum installed generating capacity of 29.9 megawatts (MW). Each wind turbine will have a capacity of 2.3MW.

The Development is categorised as a 'Major Development' under The Town and Country Planning (Hierarchy of Developments) (Scotland) Regulations 2009 on the basis that the total installed capacity of the wind farm is anticipated to be greater than 20MW.

The plans for Creag a' Bhàird were formally displayed at Amulree Village Hall and Dunkeld & Birnam Arts Centre public exhibitions held on the 8th and 9th of May 2013. The feedback from this consultation exercise along with the information gained from the Environmental Impact Assessment has been used to improve and refine the design of the wind farm.

Force 9 Energy will continue to liaise with community representatives, Council officers and other interested stakeholders over the coming months to discuss the application and also the proposed community benefit fund.
